San Francisco

So Mark and I are going to San Francisco at the end of May for a conference that I have there. We will only have one full day to play and then the next two days I'll be in class. Has anyone been to San Fran, and if so, what do you recommend doing/going/must see? We are trying to make the most of the trip. It will be the first time we've been away from the boys for that long. We've gone one night before, so it will be interesting to see how they a fare, or rather how we fare without them!

I haven't been to San Francisco, but Kevin served his mission in San Jose (not far from there) and he knows the place pretty well. I will ask him and see what he has to say! Hope you have fun!

Definitely go to Fisherman's Wharf and if you can make it to Alcatraz I would definitely do that. Have fun!

I am with Jossie. Fisherman's Wharf is worth the trip and of course the Golden Gate Bridge. I have never been to Alcatraz but that would be really neat to see. And remember to take the trolley. Too bad you only have one day for sightseeing, but what a fun trip you guys can go on alone.

I am going there on Friday! My family lives there and I was born there. I really like Pier 39 (Fisherman's Wharf) we went there all the time. (My grandfather was the VP of Construction and there is a plaque on the wharf in his honor.)
We walked part of the Golden Gate Bridge last time we were there. We have done Alcatraz which was pretty cool. I really want to go see the Redwood Tree's...maybe this time). The city is just so beautiful! I love it there!
