Valley of Fire

With Mark on Spring Break this week, we got to spend my day off together as a family for once. Weekends are always busy, so it was nice to have today to spend with nothing on the agenda. So we decided to head out to Valley of Fire and enjoy the beautiful Vegas spring weather. Here's a sampling of pictures:


Slot in the rock on our little hike to Duck Rock. Which we believe must have eroded away because we saw nothing that resembles a duck.












We started out with Jacob in the pack, but soon found it easier to carry Jacob and put Michael in the pack, in order to keep him alive. He wanted to climb everything, even if it was a 90 degree face of a rock.

Valley of Fire is going to be our next mini-trip. We have never been. It is so nice to get away, even if only for a few hours.

So our plan was to go to Valley of Fire one day and Red Rock another day but then Aunt Flo came to visit and I am home bound! So bummed!
