FUNNY

I respect the office of the president, but this is how I feel today:Of course it is obvious that the image is superimposed, but ugh! I believe strongly in limited government. If you could show me one thing that government doesn't mess up when it gets too involved then I'd be more likely to understand Obama's positions, but the socialist direction that he represents is very disturbing to me. I've thought a lot about this ever since Obama's comment to Joe the Plumber "it's better for everyone when we spread the wealth around". Which is essentially a united order philosophy, except that it only works when you have a society of hard working, pure in heart people. In our society there is so much greed and corruption, that in the end the powerful get richer in a socialistic society while everyone else gets less. Socialism and communism fail because government thinks itself greater than invidual free will. And individual free will is what our founding fathers recognized as our inalienable right, which is God given. I could go on, but I will get off my soap box now. Here I am stepping off, for now.

I agree. I feel really depressed today. I knew he'd win... I just hoped that things would turn. I don't love McCain... kind of a lesser of 2 evils and maybe he deserved it for pushing Romney out of the picture (I feel like he and Mike Huckabee were in cahoots) but I'm worried for the next 4 years. And you're exactly right.. it would only work if everyone was hard working and honest, and it seems like everyone is FAR from it. Plenty of people pass up jobs, raises or even quit jobs so they can get more assistance... so it doesn't work that way. It disturbs me too that he had so many people fooled. I can understand why said people (those working the system) would vote for him... ah... I'll get off my soap box too. But I'm glad you feel the same way.

Amen! Too many free-loaders for this socialistic turn to work. Besides, what will be the point of being ambitious and trying harder? I should just tell Chad to forget going for that raise, quit his job, and we'll live off the government. Hey, I know enough people who do it--we wouldn't have to give up our cell phones, and we could even get cable TV!

I want to jump up on that soap box with you! Karl just said to me the other day, we better make sure we never reach making $250,000 a year if Obama gets elected. That is so lame! Not that we're close to that but you get the picture :-) Thanks for posting that. Loved the picture!
