New Adventures

So we have been busily plugging away at life in our corner of the world. Halloween was...overrated, but I had fun making the costumes for the boys. We went to our trunk-or-treat on Thursday and then on Friday we hit the road for San Diego and spent Saturday at SeaWorld. Sunday we hit the beach and then headed back to Vegas. It was a quick trip and totally rejuvenating, the weather was perfect. I think next year I will forego Halloween completely and just spend an extra day in California. So here is a smattering of our adventures:
Our family costumes- Michael and Jacob were cowboys and Mark and I were their trusty steeds.
Michael gets a little too excited about candy.
Watch out ya'll there's a new sheriff in town. Apparently playing in the bushes is more fun than getting candy! Boys will be boys.
Michael loved the Shamu shows, and he could have spent an hour in the viewing area just watching her swim by over and over.
Here is Jacob getting ready to try and kill a star fish.
La Jolla Shores- Mark and I have lots of memories at this beach, so it is natural that we would head there for the boys' first beach experience.
Playing at the park by the beach.
Could there be a better place to swing? An ocean view everytime you swing up!
So much sand, so little time. We could have spent all day digging in the sand if we'd had more time, but just as we were getting ready to go, the clouds started to build and it was about to rain. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend.
I've never been to Disneyland, but I still don't have a great desire to go. I think I would choose San Diego and SeaWorld hands down everytime.

Ahhh... I want to go!!!! It's snowing hard here today and I would like nothing more than to escape and go to San Diego! I would love to go there. We did do Disneyland earlier this year and it was ok, I still think the kids would like Sea World better, and I'm not a big fan of the rides. What a fun trip! The costumes are darling... and yes, Halloween is overrated! I miss you.
