So tonight I decided to get caught up on some blogworthy mentions. Mark and Michael are off at the Fathers and Sons campout and Jacob stayed home with me (he gets to go in 2 weeks on a different campout), but unfortunately I got locked out of the rehab gym and the spare key didn't work and I had to wait 2 hours before someone came with the right key, so my Mommy-Jacob date plans crashed and burned. And this was the result:
Have you ever seen a sadder little boy? I will definitely have to make it up to him in the morning!
In other news, I love home projects and these are just a few:
First, tomatos are growing in our dirt! Of course, this wouldn't be possible without my dad doing all the work, but it is still very exciting!
Second, I found this great computer desk at the RC Willey clearance center (love that place) and we moved the computer out of our room and into this little spot where I now sit to blog! And it is great because I can get on the computer and the boys will let me since I'm now in the same room as them. Plus the temple picture came in and this is just the right spot for it.
Third, thanks to our tax return (how much longer will we actually get one with all this government spending? but I digress) we got the house wired for ceiling fans (the living room and master already had them, but the other 3 bedrooms didn't and I REALLY wanted one in the kitchen) and TADA!!! The boys love their fans and this one looks great in the kitchen, they should soon all be up and running throughout the house!
Speaking of ceiling fans, this was Michael when the guy came to do the wiring:
He grabbed his Bob the Builder hat, his tools and had a very exciting day! He'd call out things like "How you doing up there big guy?" Thankfully the guy we had do it was very easy going and thought it was funny and not annoying. As you can see he wanted to be a part of everything.
I have been wanting to get into couponing, but just haven't had time to think about it, but I thought I'd try to see what I can get at the new Target near us with the Target coupons and manufacturers coupons. And it turned out to be great deals for all the snack food type stuff.
And I got all this for about $7 which I was pretty happy with considering that the waffles usually cost about $3/box at the grocery store and I got them for 29 cents per box. I got a little obsessed because the Kashi website will only let you print two coupons. But I have access to 8 computers at work, plus multiple family members so I went back the next day and bought 6 more boxes (Michael eats them daily, so it is a necessary item our house since I don't often have time to make them from scratch). If you want your own you can go to www.kashiconnect.com to print your coupons. Or give them to me! I also ended up getting Ritz crackers for free with the sale price and two coupons! This may get addicting!
Well I think that is about all for now, I'm sure I'll have pictures to post from the campout. Hopefully Michael doesn't fall asleep under a truck like he did last year!

How cute is your BIG helper!!! Love it. And I'm so jealous with your coupon experience...I still haven't done it! Did you use grocerysmarts at all? I'm so nervous about the whole thing.
It was our Father's and Sons weekend too! Still waiting for our boys to come home.
If we lived closer we could have hung out. Sorry about your ruined plans.
I love the desk.
What a bummer that your plans got ruined! I bet you will love the ceiling fans this summer! I love that Michael was helping the guy out! We don't ever get a tax refund and have to pay ever 3 months...I am sure we are going to have to pay MORE every three months with our wonderful administration!!!!!! @@
Good job with the couponing. I could do some serious damage with access to 8 computers! The fan and desk look great. Bob, I mean Michael is too cute:)
Poor Jacob - what a sad sad face. Your boys are so cute.

What a cute guy all ready to help. I love it.
Michael looks so cute all Bob'd out! And awesome couponing; I wish I had a Target nearby.
