Annual Halloween Party

So we had our annual Boston Family Halloween Party, with a few Howards added in for good measure, last Thursday. We make scarey food, the kiddos dress up, and Grandpa does a pinata. I didn't take pictures of the food, but we had jackolantern cheese burgers, witches fingers, dirt, graveyard dip, and witches hat cookies. Oh, and swamp juice for drinks, my sister did a great job on that and it looked disgusting but was quite tasty!
These are the costumes I made for the boys. Michael wanted to be a dinosaur and I found a tutorial for Buddy from the Dinosaur Train show on PBS. Jacob usually wants what Michael has so I made him a green one. Turns out this is one of the rare exceptions that he does not try and copy his brother, since he wanted nothing to do with such foolishness. So my niece Ella took advantage of the opportunity and quite enjoyed having a tail.

Here is Ella jumping on the trampoline, showing off her tail quite nicely!

Jacob opted to be a little boy, I think his costume worked, don't you? Taking a few swings at the pinata that wouldn't break!

At long last, and with some help from a knife, the pinata broke and the crowd goes wild!

A good time was had by all, and it was chalked up as another successful party, next year we will have to perfect making eyeballs and consider adding more disgusting food to our menu!
