We didn't do anything for New Years Eve this year, I worked both new years eve and new years day and Mark was exhausted from his 3 12 hour shifts at the hospital and hit the hay early. But we were excited because we had made plans to go visit our friends in Cedar City and go sledding. We headed up after work on Friday and spent the night there, with our friends the Wrights, and went sledding on Saturday. We had a fabulous time, our kiddos get along well with theirs, and we had a great visit- lots of talking and good food!
Here are some pictures of our sledding adventure. We went to a hill by the high school because it was an easier hike up the hill for all the little feet, rather than going up to the canyon. So the snow was limited, but certainly sufficient for their first sledding experience!
This is my favorite picture of them coming down the hill- so happy! (Notice no gloves on- they both refused initially but it didn't take long before they wore them willingly!)
Catching a ride back up the hill.
Sometimes Jacob just needs a little lovin'.
Down with Daddy...
Now it's Mommy's turn...
Snowball fight!
I love Jacob's stance, he's serious!
They were so tired from all the exercise and no nap that they both fell asleep during dinner. I guess they just stopped moving long enough that it caught up with them!
After dinner we headed back to Las Vegas. We had a great time and it was a perfect little reprieve from the city. I am so thankful to have Melissa and Kevin to go visit!

What a fun little trip! I love that the kids just passed out during dinner, too cute!
Looks like fun. I think I would head to Mt Charleston more often to expose the kids to snow...but we have NO snow gear and it seems a waste to go buy some for growing kids!
Sledding is about the only reason I like snow. Sounds like a fun trip.
We miss you guys! We'll have to come down a visit before Jared deploys again. Looks like you had a good time in town. Hope you're doing well!
Fun! I'm wishin we could find some snow to go play in.
