To blog or not to blog...

...that is the question. I have come to the conclusion recently that I think much of our computers and phones seem to take the place of real life interactions. I kind of discovered the same thing the more I was away from TV- I feel much more connected to my life since I rarely watch TV anymore. So just like with TV, I will likely continue to blog on occasion, but only because I do love the connection I have with my old friends that live far and wide- Jenny, Judy, Robin, Melissa, Melissa, Salinda, Leah and several others (who haven't posted in awhile). I love my Vegas friends too, but I see you more often. My original intent with blogging was to do it in place of scrapbooking, but I don't post all the things I would want to record, and I don't want to put too much information out there, so it hasn't really worked for that purpose. So I'm not quite sure what my purpose for it is now. But I do love seeing my friend's kids grow and seeing their adventures, so I am not going to abandon it completely.

I think that if I wanted to do a serious blog, I would do a recipe blog and share all the great food we make, or a tip blog. Like when I discovered that you can make your own foamy soap and save tons of money. Maybe others have figured it out, but those I've told didn't know either (just ask me if you don't know). And a magic eraser really gets out anything- even black ink off of my microfiber couch, and sharpie ink if you are fast enough. But again, that would take time that I don't really want to spend right now, or at least energy I don't have right now.

Okay, blah blah blah, enough about my blogging woes. I do plan to do a post about our recent adventures, just need to get them downloaded, of course. I've just been feeling like this lately:

What's a girl to do?
***Disclaimer: I realize after writing this that somebody somewhere might think I am judgemental of devotion to blogging. Seriously, I do not see it that way, I just know what I can do to keep my own self sane, that's all.

I understand the whole spending too much time on the computer, TV etc., but for me the bloggin thing is the only way I can make myself journal these days. Anything really private I document in writing in a regular journal, but I love that I can make the blog into a book with pictures.
I hope you continue blogging at least a little bit - even with occasional pictures so I can see how the boys are growing, and how you guys are doing.
Oh and today I was unpacking and I found the beautiful apron you made me. I haven't used it yet...it's sort of a decoration...I love it so much I don't want to get it dirty. :0)

I totally get where you are coming from. Being pulled in all sorts of directions can be hard and sometimes you just have to let something go. and the whole spending too much time on the computer... I am right there with you. I enjoying reading about your little family and I like peeking at your crafty projects as well. so if you blog or not... I will follow :) and one of these days we will connect in real life!

I understand! But with that said, I know your intent of justifying your not blogging, I am lefting wanting for more! Start that food blog! And that tip blog... how DO you make foamy soap?!

But I do understand. I thought it would be a good record keeping tool, not to mention I love getting caught up on long lost friends I don't wnat to lose but it's not very feasable to have face to face contact with. But how do you balance how much you put out there... not to mention I've been drained of energy with this pregnancy and they hubby had shoulder surgery a month ago and it has been a HARD recovery not to mention some set backs where he had to back into the hospital for 3 days with a horrible bacterial infection (I think he caught it there). So lately, I've been doing just what you said, and I've been escaping my life by reading peoples blogs... so get blogging! :)

Ok, no pressure. But I do enjoy keeping tabs on you and your cute family. By the way, cute hair!
