So what to say about this picture? Mark hadn't seen Michael for a few minutes so he went looking for him and found him under Uncle Jared's truck...asleep...face down...in the rocks... I kind of question whether he might have tried to stand up, hit his head, and knocked himself out. The freakout mom in me is just thankful that the truck was blocked in and had no chance of being moved with a little boy underneath it!
Mark said this was the typical view he had of Michael- he loves being unrestrained!AJ and Michael. They are good cousins and Michael adores AJ, who is 9 months older.
Every boy scout should know how to properly put out a fire. Grandpa Mike would be so proud- Mark's dad was a forest ranger and smoke jumper, so the Howard boys know a thing or two about fire safety.
The only shot of the two of them together (note Michael not enjoying being restrained!)
How the whole thing ended...passed out...rootbeer in hand. Ahhh... good times.

And what did I do you ask? Jacob and I stayed home. And I stayed up until 2 am working on a slip cover for a couch that I bought for $40 at the RC Willey clearance center (which was larger than I thought) and I'm not done yet. My one night to get decent rest and I chose to stay up late and only get 5 hours of sleep. Oh the foolish things I do. (I will post before and after pictures of the couch when I am done, because it is looking much better and I am pretty impressed with my craftiness).

No way! I can't believe he was asleep under the car!! Crazy! Oh, and the picture of him sleeping afterwards is classic. Love it!
That is so funny. Our Father and Sons was this past weekend too.
The stories I heard were "Sam had a great time. It was fun." And then I hear him relating SCARY stories to our home teacher like "I was putting on my shoes and I turned around and he was nowhere to be found... and then I found him down at the lake." His comment to me after he could see serious distress on my face was something like "someone up there mentioned that all the women in the ward would probably shudder at all of the unattended kids running around." Yikes.
I would have freaked out to find him under the car. He must have been so exhausted. I also stayed up late when Eric and Jackson went to Fathers & Sons. Ridiculous.
John and I want to know if you left Michael under the truck? Funny pictures.
I can't believe he fell asleep under the car! That seems like something Tessa would do. Oh, I can't wait to see the slipcover! I know when I make slipcovers I stay up all night and then wake up early in the morning because I can't stop obsessing over it! Good luck.
So Michael struggles with a good night's sleep in his nice comfy bed but has no problem falling asleep facedown in the dirt under a car? Kids are so crazy! And that last picture of him in the car with his rootbeer bottle? That's priceless!! I LOVE Michael!
That is so funny! I love that he thought to take a picture of him!
I can't wait to see the couch!
I am excited to see how the couch turns out. I'm very impressed just hearing about it. It looks like they had a wonderful time.
I just wanted to say hello... You have a super cute family! How fun!
Take care!
