Quick Update

Last weekend I went with my mom and sisters to Time Out for Women and it was fabulous. Wonderful music, fabulous speakers, good humor...really helped me to refocus and it was great to take time to feed my spiritual side. I'm in the nursery at church, and while I love the kids, it's not necessarily the most spiritual setting when you are trying to keep 20 kids (18 mo to 3 years olds) entertained and happy. I have been teaching the nursery lessons this month and that has been fun. The lesson today was on being kind to animals and the kids loved making animal sounds and trying to make animals with playdough, but I'm not sure the idea that Heavenly Father created animals really got across. Oh well. Anyhow, last Saturday was a wonderful day and we had a good time together. (Note my fabulous new haircut, I am embracing the wave in my hair and giving up on straightening, and I love it so much more now).
I had to include this picture of the boys, Jacob had gotten into my powdered brown eyeliner and apparently thought he needed to taste it as well. They definitely look like brothers.
I had an obsession these past two weeks that took me somewhat by surprise. A friend at work gave me the Twilight book to borrow (we traded for a Book of Mormon which she was very happy to receive) and I found I enjoyed the book much more than I thought I would. So I ended up reading all four books, plus the online portion of Midnight Sun in about 10 days. It was an easy read, not like reading Jane Austen where I have think alot more. Thankfully I finished it all and I can now move on with my life and do my housework, my bathroom has suffered cruelly for my obsession.
Well, another week is about to begin, so I better head to bed.

I love your hair. I think I would cut mine if I had a little wave to it. But mine is so straight. I would look like Ramona Quimby I think. But I'm feeling like I need a change. I have read the Twilight series as well... nice to escape my world for a while.
