Fathers and Sons- Jacob edition

Last weekend Mark took Jacob to a campout with his brother's ward. He was having a fabulous time, trying to keep up with cousin AJ and his buddies, spending time with Daddy and playing in lots of dirt...

...right up until something (likely an ant) crawled up his pants and bit him at his diaper line. He was inconsolable and Mark called me at about 9:30pm and said they were on their way back home. After Tylenol and Benadryl and lots of cortizone, Jacob finally fell asleep at almost 11pm in his own bed. Mark then went back up to Mt Charleston to stay the night and pack up their stuff the next morning. So the weekend didn't go quite as planned, but I think he would have done well had it not been for a cursed ant. Can't really blame it though, Jacob is particularly yummy and I still find myself wanting to just squeeze what baby chubs he has left.

As a side note, this was their food this time, carne asada fajitas.

Like I said last time, Howard men don't do hotdogs.

Poor little guy! Looks like he enjoyed the time he was there though. We may or may not be moving to Monterey now. Jared just started a new job with the VA and can't just leave for six months. The Army has agreed to let him do his language training here in Utah, so he's going to take them up on that. We're also looking to buy a house sometime before the year is up. Hope you guys are well! Wish we were not so far away!
